A few months back, my brother’s ferret died. She was more or less the same age as my ferret Izzy (we’re not sure if they were actually sisters or just arrived at the same time but whatever). She was always weak, though, so it wasn’t a huge surprise.
Today, however, I have reason for concern. My brother’s friend’s ferret, who was actually younger than Izzy, passed away suddenly. She apparently didn’t show any signs of being near death’s door and has always been really energetic and healthy. He says she was playing like normal one day, then gone in the morning.
I always knew it would happen and I’ve been quite lucky to end up with an energetic, healthy ferret for so long but.. doesn’t make the reality that she might pass soon any easier to face. 8( And Iggy isn’t much younger than her, so I have to worry about him too. Sigh. I don’t want to lose my bbs.
